I start to dl last firmware for my Zyxel VMG1312-B10A from dowload library and when I going to check SHA1/MD5 fail, those not the same SHA1/MD5 published by site admin.
Anyone can confirm that?

VDSL IAD VMG Series | Re: VMG1312-B30b firmware
I also know a guy that was unhappy with VMG1312-B30b firmware (because it was somehow subset of what was presented as firmware for VMG1312-B), and changed to VMG1312-B30a newer firmware. Device got bricked and support told him that he just has to return the device, as there is no way to fix it at home. As there was no new version of VMG1312-B30b he decided to go for a different router than B30B.

Hello,
Does anyone have an idea of when the VMG9823 or VMG4825 will be available for purchase?
I've got a VSG1432-B101 that seems to have a bad NVRAM chip and the configuration and firmware occasionally gets corrupted so I have to re-write the firmware and restore the configuration.
I need something much better that has all 1GB Ethernet ports and also a more robust router than what the VSG1432-B101 includes...I believe those two models have them.

Is there a way to decompress to XML or whatever format the conf files from the modem/router and edit them directly?
Some other ZyXEL equipment allows you to "FTP get" the config file as text, then edit and upload.
I feel like the one I use might have errors embedded in it. If I could edit directly I feel like I would have a lot more control over what is actually in the configuration in case something is hosing it up and putting in old/bad info when I save and then restore it later.

VDSL IAD VMG Series | Re: portforwarding: 80 and 443 already in use
Hi, I've got exactly the same problem. Did you find a solution? I'm guessing that the port 80 is is being used by the control panel itself, which is why it can't forward on that port, but I've no idea how to change it.

I've got the same issue, but after speaking and running a teamviewer session with Zyxel support, the lack of firmware option was removed by the service provider who installed the unit.
Zyxel support asked I speak directly with them.

VDSL IAD VMG Series | Parental control - different rules for different days?
Perhaps I'm just thinking about this wrong. Swapped ISPs and now have a VMG1312-D10B supplied by ISP with V5.11(AAXA.1)C0. On my Asus router I could set my kid's devices so they had different rules for weekdays and weekends - allowed later access at weekend. I can't seem to do this now. It looks like I can have only 1 PCP per MAC address and 1 rule per PCP. I can see how to set multiple time slots but not how to set different time slots for different days.
Doesn't need to be via the web interface - I'm happy using ssh and vi on conf files if that's what it takes.
BTW - the manual doesn't explain schedules very clearly. I can create one but then it fails to describe what to do with them. I can see they are created for PCPs but that's it.

VDSL IAD VMG Series | wireless access point VMG8924 and VMG3925

i have a VMG8924 (main ISP router) and a spare VMG3925. I am trying to set up the VMG3925 as a wireless access point to boost my signal but struggling to get this work.
I have not made any setting changes so far on my VMG8924 and placed the VMG3925 in Bridged mode for my ISP type and this was working fine and allowed my me to browse via an ethernet cable.
My issue i have now is im not sure which router i need to configure under the WDS settings. I believe i need to configure the VMG8924 WDS settings as follows:
AP Mode: Wireless Bridge
and then i need to add the MAC address for the VMG3925 wireless for both the 2.5 and 5 ghz wireless. Is this correct?
I have changed the VMG3925 wireless details to match the same as my VMG8924.. i.e SSID and passowrd. Is they any other settings i require to on these router to get this working?
I still want to keep the 8924 as the main router with wireless connection and then the 3925 upstairs as just an access point. Well, I lied, it let me change the subnet mask to 255.255.254.0, but when I try to add a Static DHCP address like 192.168.0.56, it says:
Which is obviously wrong...
The IP Address entered is not in the same IP Address range as that of the router. Enter a valid IP Address to proceed.

VDSL IAD VMG Series | Wired Access Point Has only half Wireless Speed
Hi, we moved to a new apartment and they placed the WAN port to the furthest corner of the place so now in my bedroom I get no WiFi.
I decided to connect a wired Access Point but my problem is that the WiFi in the bedroom should be 50 Mbps but is only around 22Mbps ...when I plug a network cable into the AP speed is 50Mbps as expected so not sure what's the issue here.
First I tried Access Point EDIMAX EW-7206PDg which only supports 1 cable to main router and then only WiFi but speed was the same. I figured it's because it has only G broadband so..
My second option was ZyXel VMG1312-B30B which is giving me same speeds 50 on cable and 25 on WiFi.

VDSL IAD VMG Series | Problem with making ACL rule in router's firewall settings

I have a VirtualBox' virtual machine and I need to get SSH connection to it from WAN. I asked help from VirtualBox forum and got the configuration right from that part but I need to make port forwarding in router's firewall to the virtual machine and haven't got it to work. Virtual machine uses bridged adapter.
At the moment I have an ACL rule which should forward traffic from all IPs using port 22987 to virtual machine's local IP 192.168.1.201 port 22987. But the traffic still comes to host machine's local IP 192.168.1.164.
I attached screenshot from Wireshark showing that. Also I attached screenshots from protocol view and ACL rule view in router's firewall configuration.
So I'm asking your help with the ACL rule configuration. My router is Zyxel VMG1312-B10D.

I cannot persuade my router to send me any logs so any help will be appreciated.
My email server is one of the machines in my LAN
My set up is as follows.
“Maintenance > Log settings”
“Syslog Loggin”:Enabled
“Mode”:Remote
“Syslog Server”:I entered my server's IP address
“UDP port”:514
Email Log settings
“Mail server”:I entered my server's IP address
“System Log Mail Subject”:SystemLog
“Security Log Mail Subject”:SecurityLog
“Send Log to”:I entered my email address
“Send Alarm to”:I entered my email address
“Alarm Interval”:60 second
“Allowed Capacity Before email Notification”:5%
“Clear log after sending mail”:Enabled
After making the change I then click “Apply”

I have an issue which happens randomly where my statistics program cannot telnet into the router eventually connection is closed by remote host. This can happen after 100+ days or this time after 35 days. When this happens I am unable to access the GUI from a browser as well. The router continues to function and all my connections are still working. The only way to recover the telnet access and access via browser is to power cycle the router, this is very undesirable as too many re-syncs are counted by the DSLAM as a problem and it limits the connection by forcing a re-sync. This also happened periodically on my VMG8324-B10A when I was using that. It has happened on each firmware version I have used, last time it was V15. I have taken the opportunity to install V16 this time.
I believe in early versions of firmware more than one telnet session was allowed, why was this restricted? Why does the browser fail to connect on port 80 when this happens? Can we have the number of telnet sessions increased again?

VDSL IAD VMG Series | VMG8924-B10A BT TV multicast problem (UK)
I bought this router as it supported multicast, which I needed for my BT TV box.
I followed the procedure, posted on several sites, to set it up for this service and it all worked fine.
However, following an upgrade to a new BT TV UHD 4K box I have a problem.
UHD 4K streaming isn't working, the router simply can't keep up with it.
Lots of sound breakup and picture freezing is the result, but only on the UHD service, HD streaming is ok.
I tried updating the firmware to the latest available, AAKL.16C0, but there's no improvement.
I have good VDSL speed and my original BT Home Hub 5A works perfectly, so it's definitely this router.
Has anyone else had this issue (and managed to solve it)?

You have to go to Management -> Remote Access and change the port 80 to 8080, then hit apply.
You then re-log into the admin page but use port 8080. Once you are in, you can go and change the NAT routing to the server you want on port 80.
You will have to do the same for port 443 ...
